When you ride the 450-foot water slide careening down the hillside at City Park in Westminster on June 5, 2016, you want to be as creative as you can be with your slip and slide position! Which way are you going? Face down on your belly? Turtle spin all the way to the bottom? Running start with the inner tube? The slide is so big that the possibilities are endless! Here are some ideas to get your feet off the ground!

Two people slide down a large water-covered tarp on a hill with green grass and mountains in the background. A hose sprays water.
Two thrill-seekers dive face first down a slip and slide, zooming towards adventure on a sunny day.

Face First! We’re going to be hosing down the waterslide all day for maximum sliding effect! Want to get top speed and hit the puddles head on? Throw out your arms like Superman, take a running start and land on your belly as you take advantage of top aerodynamics to go flying down the hillside. Extra points if you keep your arms to the side and dash like a penguin! The Soaring Inner Tube The Soaring Inner Tube is like the Face First, but you never know which direction you’re going to end up. Grab your tube (Only $5.00!) and take a diving start, then let physics take over as you turn, spin, splash, and slide all the way to the bottom. You better be hanging on because it’s going to be a wild ride! Turtle Spin It may not be the fastest, but it’s the most unpredictable! Take a seat as you fall and then start to spin as gravity pulls you into every which direction. Want to get some speed? Get your legs facing uphill, feet up, and get ready to rush down our slip and slide backwards! Race Your Friends! Did you know that our slide is so wide that you can race your friends to the bottom? Grab your tube or Superman your way to the bottom, then when you get to the bottom, jog to the top of the hill and make it the best out of three, or challenge your friends to a relay! On June 5, 2016, we’re going to get wet and wild at City Park next to the Westin Westminster! Come join us for the Hard As Nails Obstacle Mud Race the day before, then stay for Colorado Slip and Slide which will be up all day! How creative can YOU get?
