Avalanche Education (AIARE)

AIARE Avalanche Level 1 Course
Learn avalanche safety fundamentals, including terrain reading, safe route choices, and rescue techniques. The course combines 4-5 hours of self-paced learning, Zoom lectures on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6-9:30 pm), and two field days (Saturday-Sunday, 7 am-4 pm).


AIARE Avalanche Rescue Course
This one-day course (7 am-3 pm) teaches companion rescue basics for new participants and advanced techniques for returning students. Regular retakes are recommended to stay updated on rescue practices.


AIARE Level 2 Avalanche Course
Building on Level 1, this course covers hazard assessment, weather, snowpack, and avalanche processes, focusing on real-world observation and decision-making in avalanche terrain.
