From Limelight to Folsom Field
Folsom Field is located on CU’s main campus, just a short distance from Limelight. Because the hotel is already close to the stadium, walking is often the simplest option for attending the game itself.
If you’re renting an e-bike, consider using it to explore Boulder before the game, then returning it to Limelight and walking to the stadium. This avoids having to coordinate bike parking, rental return times, and postgame crowds all at once.
If you do plan to ride toward campus, confirm current bicycle access and approved parking locations with CU before heading out. Game-day traffic patterns and campus restrictions can change, and rental bikes should only be secured in permitted locations.

From Limelight, you can connect toward Boulder Creek and enjoy one of the city’s most popular multiuse paths. The creek corridor offers a scenic way to experience Boulder, with access toward downtown and plenty of opportunities to stop along the way.
This is a great choice for visitors who want a relaxed ride, fall foliage, and time to explore without committing to a full-day adventure. You can pair the ride with coffee, lunch, or a visit to the Pearl Street area before returning toward campus.

2. Pearl Street & Downtown Boulder
Downtown Boulder is a natural addition to a CU weekend. Pearl Street offers restaurants, shops, street performers, and plenty of places to gather with friends and family.
Rather than trying to drive between campus and downtown during a busy football weekend, an e-bike lets you explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Use designated bike routes, follow local riding rules, and walk your bike where cycling is restricted or pedestrian traffic is heavy.

Homecoming: September 30–October 3
Homecoming is one of the most exciting times to visit Boulder, and 2026 is especially significant as CU celebrates its 150th anniversary. The weekend culminates with the Buffs taking on Texas Tech on Saturday, October 3.
Visitors can look forward to campus traditions, alumni gatherings, and the Pearl Street Stampede, which brings CU spirit into downtown Boulder. An e-bike rental is a great way to explore the city during the day before joining the evening festivities or heading to the game.
Family Weekend: October 15–18
CU Family Weekend is a perfect opportunity to turn a campus visit into a full Boulder getaway. Families can attend campus tours, academic open houses, educational sessions, and other university events before cheering on the Buffs against Utah on Saturday, October 17.
The weekend also includes the Pearl Street Stampede on Friday evening and the Buffalo Stampede 5K on Sunday morning. Use Limelight as your home base. If you’re staying at the hotel, consider leaving your car parked and exploring by bike or on foot. Return your rental before the game if you don’t want to manage bike parking during stadium activities.
Check campus bike access. CU provides bicycle parking around campus, but game-day routes and access may be affected by crowds and traffic controls. Confirm the current rules and approved rack locations before riding toward Folsom Field.
Allow extra time. If you’re heading to the stadium, plan for pedestrian crowds, security lines, and changing traffic patterns. CU notes that the hour after the game is especially busy.
Consider transit for longer trips. The HOP and other RTD routes connect downtown and surrounding areas with campus. CU also operates game-day shuttle services from designated parking areas.
Plan your rental return. If you’re attending a late game or planning to stay downtown afterward, confirm your rental duration and return arrangements in advance. A multiday rental may be a better fit for visitors who want flexibility across the entire weekend.
