Step into the world of frozen adventure with our guided ice climbing trips in Clear Creek Canyon and Rocky Mountain National Park. Perfect for both beginners and experienced climbers, this exhilarating winter activity combines physical challenge, technical skill, and breathtaking alpine settings.
Your day begins with a warm welcome and gear fitting—everything you need is provided, from harnesses and helmets to crampons and ice tools. The only item not included is mountaineering boots, which can be conveniently rented. After a safety briefing and instruction on basic technique, you’ll hike to your climbing site, where walls of blue ice shimmer under the winter sun.
Under the guidance of expert instructors, you’ll learn how to swing tools efficiently, find solid placements, and trust your gear as you ascend. Between climbs, you’ll have time to rest, sip hot drinks, and take in the stillness of Colorado’s winter wilderness.

Ice Climb: Full Day
Experience a full day (6-8 hours) of climbing on Colorado’s renowned ice, with options for all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner learning outdoor climbing or an experienced climber tackling multi-pitch routes, this adventure is tailored to you.

Trip Details
After meeting at your hotel or a central location, you'll be driven to your chosen climbing spot, where your guide will review essential climbing techniques and safety. Possible options for the day include:
Rocky Mountain National Park Ice Climbing: A full day of single-pitch climbing in the national park.
Clear Creek Canyon Ice Climbing: For those ready to try sport lead climbing.
After gearing up, you’ll spend the day climbing, improving techniques, and enjoying the stunning views. The day wraps up with a memorable experience on the rock.
Included: Professional ice climbing guide, all necessary climbing gear (harness, helmet, belay devices, ice axes, crampons), round-trip transportation from your hotel or office, group CB, medical kit, emergency support, snacks and water.
Not Included: Mountaineering Boots (can be rented for an additional $40) Park entrance fees ($10 per person for Rocky Mountain National Park). Gratuity for your guide (20% recommended,auto-added for groups of 6+).
Difficulty Description Climbs range from beginner to advanced. Routes are adjusted to match your experience and goals for the day.
