Clothing and Gear

Sunhat, sunglasses, and suntan cream; warm jacket and warm pants, raincoat; comfortable hiking boots, snowboard boots, or winter boots; medium or heavy synthetic or wool blend socks; day pack; camera and or video camera, 2 liters of water, warm hat, glove or mitten, and glove liners, long underwear top and bottoms, headlamp. Recommended: ski goggles, balaclava, neck warmer, extra pair of gloves or mittens. If someone does not have enough warm clothing, please let us know and we will bring extra layers.

Price Includes

Roundtrip transportation between Boulder, Denver, or Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park or Roosevelt National Forest; Drinks (hot and cold) and snacks (4-hour trips); Drinks (hot and cold), snacks, and lunch (6-8 hour trips); Education about local history / natural history and skiing skill development; Library for Rocky Mountain National Park / Roosevelt National Forest flora and fauna; Extra clothing (if necessary); Avalanche beacons, shovel, probe (if necessary); Group Medical kit; Professional ski guide(s)

Price Doesn't Include

Entrace Fee to Rocky Mountain National Park ($10 per person paid directly to park service upon entrance); Rentals: randonee or tele skis (or split board) and skins, boots, poles (if needed); Gratuities for guide (recommended gratuity is 10-20%).

Weather

Rocky Mountain National Park weather, Estes Park weather, and Roosevelt National Forest Weather: Weather temperatures can range from minus 15 F to 60 F depending upon the day, elevation, wind, and slope aspect. Mountain Weather is unpedictable and storms in winter are common. We check the weather every day before departing and the adjust snowshoe tours to travel in the best areas based upon the conditions.

Call Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides at 303-818-1785 Mobile or 720-242-9828 Office. Credit card number is needed to confirm the reservation. Payment is due by time of service. To confirm the booking, please fill out our credit card authorization form. We will email you a word and pdf credit card authorization form after you contact us. Once the form is completed, please email it back to us. If you want to fax it, please let us know and we will make sure our fax machine is turned on to receive faxes. Reservation are on a first come, first serve basis.

Cancellation

We have a 50% non refundable deposit due at time of reservation and a 48-hour cancellation policy for the remaining balance. Cancellation greater than 48-hours will receive a full refund minus the 50% non-refundable deposit. We reserve the right to cancel for any reason. If we must cancel, we will provide a full refund or alternative dates. We snowshoe in all types of weather: rain, snow, wind, and sun.
