Hiking Trip Title

Hiking Colorado? Hiking Boulder? Hiking Denver? Hiking Estes Park? Interested in hiking Colorado Peaks? Interested in hiking Boulder Area Mountains? Interested in hiking Denver Area Mountains? Interested in hiking Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park Peaks and Mountains? Want to climb or hike Longs Peak? Whether you have two hours or one week, we have amazing guided hiking trips to expose you and your group to the most unique and 'hidden gems' in Colorado's Front Range Mountains. Come get an experience and education that is truly one of a kind!

We designed our guided hiking service for groups or individuals who want to explore the wilderness with the knowledge and expertise of a private guide. Our guides are trained in wilderness education and safety and provide a more in depth understanding of the geography, history, wildlife and vegetation of the local area. We will plan an itinerary that meets your group's goals and objectives. We have a multitude of different hikes and locations in the park from which to choose. Whether your focus is on wildlife viewing, majestic vistas, or geology, we can design a trip that meets your needs. We will also plan based upon your group's time requirements, physical fitness level, and desired level of exertion or challenge.

Our guided hiking and peak ascent or climbs allows for increased education and dialogue about the area. It also provides an additional level of travel safety and knowledge in prevention of injury and altitude sickness. Our guides reduce the many risks that can be associated with mountain travel, such as misinterpreting terrain and weather and/or losing one's bearings. Colorado is known for weather that changes quickly and dramatically. Being lost in a thunderstorm or summer snowstorm can pose a real danger and certainly isn't much fun.

Our Epic Trips were designed in response to guest requests for unique hiking tours, backpacking trips and peak ascents in and around Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest. These trips are sure to give you an amazing and challenging, yet thoroughly enjoyable experience above tree line in the high Rockies. Each tour offers a great blend of challenging elevation gains, long distance hiking, and spectacular scenery. Most tours require a shuttle between the starting and ending locations and involve logistical coordination difficult to arrange on one's own.

Superhuman Days are specifically designed for those that want to test their physical limits. We designed these tours from our intimate knowledge of Rocky Mountain National Park and are the only outfitter in Colorado that offers these extended day excursions. Superhuman days start before dawn, involve tremendous elevation gains, and significant mileage. But along with the challenges, they include the exhilaration of multiple peak ascents and leave you with a sense of true accomplishment.

Both the Epic Trips and Superhuman Days work best for small groups (2-12 people) and those up for the ultimate Colorado experience. For college teams and professional athletes, these trips can serve as a perfect team building experience and/or altitude training. Within a 1-2 hour drive from Boulder and Denver, Epic Trips and Superhuman Days are guaranteed to provide a wilderness adventure worth the effort!

Come experience the best Colorado hiking and peak ascents in the state of Colorado and around Boulder, Denver, and Estes Park!

hiking longs peak colorado with with rising sun siloutetting three participants on a cwrag trip.

Description: This is an ascent of the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park (14,259 ft / 4,346 m). Due to the exposure of this mountain we usually only climb this from mid-July to mid-September. The rest of the year it is usually a technical peak. Come follow in the footsteps of the famous explorer John Wesley Powell.

Why do many people use a guide on this Longs Peak? The day is very long, there is many hours navigating by headlamp in the dark, the route finding can be difficult up high, the exposure above the Keyhole is very real, and the weather and conditions on the mountain are very dynamic. Fortunately, CWRAG's professional guides log more miles and vertical feet on Longs Peak than any other guide service, so we know how to best pace and the most up-to-date conditions for our visitors. Combined with our intimate local knowledge, we will give you the best opportunity for success.

In 2010, we successfully planning and assisted 11 Veteran Expeditions Team Members (disabled and able bodied veterans) and a 5-person film crew reach Longs Peak Summit on Sept 11, 2010. This was one of more than 25 successful ascents in 2010. Let us help you and your groups reach new heights safely!

Itinerary: Prepare for an epic day. We normal departure our lodging location at midnight or meet at the trailhead and depart from the Longs Peaks trailhead by 1 am. After departing from the trailhead, we head off for a 12hr - 18 hr great and long guided hiking tour that is 17-miles in length and includes 5350’ of elevation gain. This unique trip is not offered by any other guide service in America and can arguably be considered one of the most unique and beautiful trips in North America and and around the globe.

There will also be an opportuntiy to learn how slope, aspect, elevation, and topography make all these hikes completely unique. The evenings will be spent in local specially chosen lodging, while the days will take you into high in the mountains.
